When do I get my PALtv?

Installation schedules are determined on a first come, first served basis (please complete and return your Agreement and Product Inventory Form ASAP!). Installations will take place from June 30th to August 30th, 2008.

Where should the screen be placed in my store?

Your PALtv screen should be placed in a highly-visible, high-traffic area within your store. Generally speaking, the screen should be visible to customers directly upon entering the store. We will work with you to ensure the most effective location.

Does PALtv run 24/7?

PALtv only plays while your store is open for business. We are able to schedule your PALtv in accordance with your store hours. When your store is closed the screen shuts down automatically (retailers never have to worry about the control and operation of the unit). Therefore, it is necessary that the PALtv team is made aware of your hours of operation, any changes thereto, or any “special events” which may lead to your store temporarily altering its hours of operation (e.g. a midnight madness sale). PALtv should be notified of any change in hours of operation a minimum of 30 days prior to the designated change.

What can I expect to see on PALtv?

You can expect to see a one hour loop comprised of compelling, eye-catching 15- to 60-second ads for products that you carry in your store or non-competitive products and services. You can also expect to see dynamic “edutainment” in the form of short segments (all pet-related) such as vet tips, celebrities and their pets, feel good pet profiles, top 10 lists (e.g. Top Ten Dog Names), etc. All content is displayed in beautiful HD!

Note: Ads will make up approximately 75% of the content loop (the remaining 25% being “edutainment”). You will also have the option of limiting your store’s content loop to “advertising only”. You can notify us of this at any time: retailers@paltvnetwork.com.

What happens if my PALTV “goes down” (stops working)?

PALtv’s “command central” is always in contact with your PALtv Player (via an internet connection). We have dedicated personnel monitoring the integrity of the network at all times. Should your PALtv Player experience any technical difficulties, we will do everything reasonable in our power to rectify the situation immediately.

Can I touch the screen?

There is actually no reason to touch the PALtv screen. The PALtv Player is not touch sensitive/activated. Touching the screen will only increase the possibility of malfunction. It is best for the screen to be mounted/situated in such a place as to restrict the likelihood of staff or customers coming in direct physical contact with the unit.

Can I get more screens?

Every PALtv retailer is outfitted with one PALtv Player screen (32” widescreen Panel PC). Should you believe that your store’s size and relative traffic flow justifies the installation of an additional screen please notify us: retailers@paltvnetwork.com. We assess each retailer request on an individual basis. You are always welcome to purchase more from us.

Does PALTV have sound?

PALtv plays a one-hour content loop with limited audio. The screen will generally be facing in the direction of customers entering your store (thus unobtrusive to employees moving about the store, busy in their work). Also, volume levels are set to ensure that those close to the screen can hear crystal clear digital sound, while those out of view of the screen hear very little (if anything at all). In fact, much of the advertising on PALtv will run without sound altogether. Sound will be used, when necessary, for impact and for educational entertainment purposes.

How do I get my store’s ads created?

Every PALtv retailer receives the FREE production of one ad for their store. Content for this ad will be changed quarterly (4 times throughout the year). To produce your ad, contact our Director of Creative Services, Phil Tate at 866-764-1212 ext. 330 or phil@redstonemediagroup.com. He will discuss the creative possibilities with you in detail. Our creative team will design a professional ad for your approval.

Can I sell ads on PALtv?

Absolutely! If you know of a manufacturer, distributor, or local business/attraction that would like to advertise on PALtv please contact us at retailers@paltvnetwork.com and we will send you an advertiser information kit. OR, send us a lead and we will pay you a commission on any resulting advertising.

Why do you need my credit card number?

The PALtv hardware remains the property of Redstone Media Group. Your credit card will be charged only if the screen is removed (without prior authorization) or is damaged by store staff. Faulty screens will be replaced free of charge.

What do I do if I’m selling or closing my store?

Please notify us immediately. We will arrange to have our hardware removed or have the agreement transferred to the new owner/ operator of your store.

How long does the installation take?

Depending upon the location of the screen within your store, installation will only take 2 to 4 hours and is completed by our professional installation crew.

Can PALtv work if I don’t have internet?

PALtv requires an internet connection to operate. The PALtv team will work with you to ensure that the necessary bandwidth exists within your store. If that means the installation of a dedicated internet connection, PALtv will cover all resulting expenses incurred.

Are there any hidden costs?

No hidden costs! Period. PALtv is absolutely FREE to retailers.

How often can I get my store content changed?

PALtv recognizes the value in keeping content fresh and exciting. Our production team is always in the process of developing new content. Content will be modified on a monthly basis. If you have ideas for new content please contact Dana Cox, Chief Creative Officer at dana@redstonemediagroup.com.
